After detailed study and multiple bids, Entrust, an emerging leader in the e-security business, chose Eximsoft as it's offshore IT partner. As part of this partnership, Eximsoft will be helping Entrust to develop the most secured e-commerce technology called Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). "Our Director in charge of this project had significant experience dealing with offshore vendors while he was employed at Nortel. He felt comfortable that EximSoft's experience, access to uniquely skilled resources, and pricing philosophy would provide optimal results for Entrust Technologies.  

In December 2000, Entrust Technologies signed an agreement to port their products to a new Unix platform. The first delivery, due a short four months after contract signing, is the Entrust Tool Kits (API's). The full product port will be completed five months later in September 2001. To meet this aggressive schedule, Entrust needed additional skilled professionals to complement experienced in house engineers. The Entrust management team decided to utilize EximSoft. Although not as well known as other large Indian contracting companies, EximSoft offered quality people at an attractive price. The team's first deliverable, which was successfully completed, was a demo of two toolkits in mid-February.  

Part of the project's success can be attributed to EximSoft, whose people were brought to Entrust's Ottawa office for several reasons:

• Learning the techniques necessary to ensure that software quality meets Entrust standards.

• Developing a network of contacts across all Entrust to aid in the successful execution of the project.

• Training team members on the product so they may transfer the Knowledge to the Eximsoft team members in Bangalore.

• Jointly developing a secure Virtual Private Network between the office in Bangalore and the R&D
  facilities in North America.

The upfront investment in training and infrastructure will help support the longer term goal of implementing an R & D facility in Bangalore, India.  

Presently, the Bangalore team is being extended to include staff with a strong knowledge of the Unix kernel and LDAP directories. People with excellent technical, leadership and decision-making skills were required to fill these roles. EximSoft has been very proactive in meeting Entrust's objectives and initial progress has left the Entrust management team with a very positive view of EximSoft's abilities to support the long-term requirements of Entrust Technologies.
